The short version

About Downtown Aquarium Houston

Downtown Aquarium Houston mixes a 500,000-gallon aquarium with a small ride park and a seafood restaurant in the middle of downtown. It works well for young kids and rainy days. The All-Day Adventure Pass covers the exhibits and the rides, and the $49.99 Weekend Adventure Pass is the better buy if you will also hit Kemah or Galveston.

Little ways to save

  1. If you have CityPASS, add the ride pass for $6 instead of buying the full Adventure Pass.

  2. Military families save $2 a pass at the booth, not online.

  3. Bring cash for the parking lot behind the building.

  4. Weekday mornings are the quietest time to go.
